We’re getting closer and closer to the start of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6, but there’s still plenty of time left in Season 5, which means more updates are on the way.
Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming 15.40 update.
New fixes tend to happen every 2 weeks in Fortnite.
On February 2, we saw the release of Update 15.30, adding the Mando’s Bounty LTM and 2 new Exotic weapons.
We can expect to see the new 15.40 update this week, however, we won’t know the exact date until Epic Games confirms it via social media and in-game.
The update day is usually between Tuesday and Thursday, which means we can expect the update to be between February 16-18.
For some reason, Epic Games is no longer releasing patch notes. Instead, creators with Support-A-Creator codes receive some form of patch notes.
Using these and Fortnite’s Trello board, we can create our own patch notes and update them when the update happens.
Valentine’s Day was last weekend, and with it came new challenges, tournaments, and skins.

These quests will also allow you to help Big Chuggus and Lovely spread the spirit of love across the island. “
The 3:30 p.m. update saw the addition of the Chug Bazooka and Burst Quad Launcher.
There are still plenty of exotic weapons out there, such as a new SMG that allows the user to move faster, and one that puts ice on the user’s feet.
It’s possible that we may see more Exotic Weapons coming in this next update.
Over the period of Valentine’s Day, we can expect to see a lot of themed skins coming to the game.
“New outfits will debut in the Item Shop across Hearts Wild, including Cuddle King, the # 1 Lovely Fan and Cuddle Team Leader. In the Item Shop too!”
