Late Valentine’s Day date? Taste Tri-Valley Restaurant Week Begins Friday

OMG, did you forget? Reconcile with your loved one with a late Valentine’s Day dinner at one of the 30 restaurants participating in this year’s Taste Tri-Valley Restaurant Week.

Honestly, you don’t need an excuse to check out this year’s deals in Danville, Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore. Now in its second year, Taste Tri-Valley runs February 18-27 and features a wide variety of cuisines, from Burmese to Italian and even Indian-inspired pizza. It kicks off with a multi-chef collaboration dinner on February 17 at Sabio on Main in Pleasanton.

Look for prix fixe lunch and dinner menus, available for indoor and outdoor dining, as well as take-out, to suit all budgets. Among the 30 participating restaurants is Dublin’s Burma! Burma!, Zephyr Grill in Livermore, Gobi Mongolian Grill in Pleasanton and Cocina Hermanas in Danville.

The chef’s collaboration dinner is the hot ticket. The reservation-only four-course meal ($125) features four chefs — Francis Hogan of Sabio on Main, Matt Greco of Salt Craft Bakery and Catering, Eduardo Posada of Posada and Tullio Rosano of Locanda Restaurants — each preparing a dish. Livermore Valley wine pairings are included in the ticket, available through Tock. A raffle will benefit Open Heart Kitchen, the largest hot meal program of its kind in the Tri-Valley area.
