One of Amazon’s latest movies is the romantic comedy I want you to come back. It’s just in time for Valentine’s Day.

When two strangers, Peter and Emma, meet and find out they’ve both been dumped, they bond over their mutual grief. When they find out their exes are gone, the couple decide to get them back by helping each other. Peter will take care of his ex while she works on hers.

This film has an excellent cast consisting of Charlie Day, Jenny Slate, Gina Rodriguez, Scott Eastwood, Manny Jacinto, Mason Gooding, Pete Davidson, Jami Gertz, and Dylan Gelula.

Insomnia in Seattle

by Nora Ephron Insomnia in Seattle is a warm fuzzy cover of a film. You will laugh, you will cry and maybe you will cry again.

The film stars Tom Hanks as Sam, a man who loses his wife to cancer and he, along with his son Jonah, moves to Seattle from Chicago. One Christmas Eve, Jonah calls a radio show and persuades his father to talk to the host. Meg Ryan’s Annie, who lives in Baltimore, hears the broadcast and decides she needs to meet him.

She’s hosting a meeting at the Empire State Building on Valentine’s Day, just like A case to remember.

The film also stars Bill Pullman, Ross Malinger, Rob Reiner, Rosie O’Donnell, Gaby Hoffmann, Victor Garber and Rita Wilson.

Made of honor

Made of Honor is an excellent romantic comedy starring Patrick Dempsey, Michelle Monaghan, Sydney Pollack and Kevin McKidd.

Tom is a wealthy playboy and Hannah is his best friend focused on her career at the Met. They became best friends when they dated Cornell in the late 90s and have been ever since. When she becomes engaged, Tom realizes that his feelings for her are much stronger than friendship. It continues to be a wild ride of a story that heads overseas to Scotland, where Hannah’s wedding will take place where Tom will be the bridesmaid.

The switch

Inspired by a short story called “Baster”, the film The switch is an excellent romantic comedy.

Kassie is single and 30 years old and still hasn’t found “the right one”. She still wants a baby and decides to get a sperm donor but wants it to be someone she met. His best friend Wally refuses because he thinks it would be weird. But, when she finds a handsome, strong-willed man for the job, Wally instantly hates him.

Nothing will be spoiled here, but you must watch this movie. It pairs Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman as best friends and also stars Patrick Wilson, Jeff Goldblum, Juliette Lewis with a Diane Sawyer cameo.

say anything

If you’re an 80s girl, you remember this one. Who could forget John Cusack as Lloyd Dobler in say anything? It’s a Cameron Crowe movie, and he knows how to make movies.

Lloyd is that nice, eternally optimistic guy you remember from high school that all the regular girls adored. But, he had his sights set on someone he thought was more remarkable and whom everyone thought was inaccessible to him. He lives with his sister, a single mother, and her son and has no real plans for his future. Which does not please the overprotective father of Diane, the girl he fell in love with. She is valedictorian of their class and a prestigious scholarship awaits her in Britain, and her father will not let anything stand between her and this opportunity.

It’s a wonderful story of young love and never giving up.
